1. Is it oil based or water soluble? Our Ultra Products are water soluble and we have a patent pending on this process. This is called the UltraCell Delivery System. If it is oil based (many of our competitors), it will have a much lower absorption rate and bioavailability than if it is water soluble. The answer to this question leads to numbers 2 and 3.
2. What is the absorption rate? The absorption rate for our Ultra Products is between 85-94% as we have a patent pending water soluble delivery system called the UltraCell Delivery System. Oil based products (competitors) typically have a 3-6% absorption rate. There are some that have recently come up with absorption rates of 30-40%. Make sure to ask all companies for their proof from a reputable research institution.
For example:
If an oil based product is 1500mg bottle, or 50mg per serving, but is at the high end with a 6% absorption rate, you will absorb 3mg per serving.
Our UltraCell is 500mg bottle, or 16.67mg per serving. But with a 90% absorption rate, ours is 15mg+ per serving getting into the body system!
So in this example, you would need to consume a minimum of 5 bottles of the competitors to get the same number of milligrams as UltraCell. And we all know that oil and water don't mix. So don't stray too far from the restroom with the oil based!!!
3. What is the bioavailability (or length of time at absorption rate in the system)? Because of our patented UltraCell Delivery System, our products stay at the absorption rate in our system for a minimum of 12 hours. There are many competitor products out there that are oil based that have a 1-6 hour bioavailability, similar to Tylenol.
4. Is it USDA Organic Certified? Hemp acts like a sponge and absorbs whatever is in the environment. Be very careful for products that are not USDA Organic Certified. Our Ultra Products are USDA Organic Certified.
5. What studies have been done to back up the product claims? Each batch of our products are tested by Covance, a well respected testing company within the pharma industry. Each bottle has a QR Code and a Lot #. Scan our QR Code and this will take you to a page with the batch testing results. Find the batch results that match the Lot # on the bottle you are consuming. Also, Mayo Clinic does our studies to show the absorption rate and bioavailability in the system. Here are a couple of links for this: UltraCell Bioavailability Study, Mayo Clinic Study Slide
6. Is there THC? Though the legal limit in most states is 0.3% THC, our products are tested by Covance in regards to our THC levels (among other things) to show our Ultra Products have less than 0.0% THC. Refer to #5. Also, THC comes from Marijuana (the female) plant and CBD comes from the Hemp (the male) plant. Though some competitors out there have THC in their products as that is what their consumers want (combining extracts from the marijuana and hemp plants), our Ultra Products come fully from the Hemp plant and therefore have less than 0.0% THC content.
7. What's the difference between Marijuana and Hemp? Marijuana and Hemp both come from the Cannabis plant. Marijuana is the female plant. Hemp is the male plant. THC comes from the Marijuana plant. So when you are looking at CBD Oils, make sure they are coming from the Hemp plant if you are concerned with the THC content.
8. Will I fail a drug screen? With the Hemp Act passing inside the Farm Bill Act of 2018, Hemp is permanently being removed from the Controlled Substance Act. Drug screen panels should all be separating out the cannabinoids from the THC in the testing. So you should not test positive in a urine test. Until all of the drug testing companies catch up to the new regulations, if there is a questionable urine test, you can submit to have GC-MS testing done. GC-MS stands for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Urine tests are not GC-MS tests. GC-MS is a more expensive and complicated laboratory process by which drugs are detected. Make sure to communicate that you are needing to have a separate panel run discerning the difference between cannabinoids and THC.
If you have a positive (aka "non-negative") result on any of the urine drug tests, you should confirm that result with a lab method like GC-MS. Typically, if the result is negative on one of our urine drug tests, there is no need to seek out further testing, GC-MS or otherwise. 9. What is the difference between CBD Extracts (or isolates) and the Full Spectrum Hemp (CBD) Oils? There are over 150 healthy compounds in the Hemp plant. A lot of the CBD Oils on the market only pull out the CBD Compound to sell a CBD Extract (or Isolate). You are missing out on so many health benefits with these types of products. Our Full Spectrum Hemp Oil uses all 150+ compounds of the hemp plant and uses a non chemical process to extract these compounds, therefore continuing the fact of USDA Organic Certified.
10. What kinds of things can a good CBD Oil help with? First of all, we do not claim that our products cure any disease. We are suggesting that if you have any questions or would like to do research on any specific ailment and how CBD Oil will impact it, type in Google (or your preferred Search Engine) whatever you are looking for help with along with CBD Oil and there are numerous studies out there. Also, PubMed is a great resource in the medical world for research. Please use those resources to do your own research.
